New year, new salaries! That’s the good news for the associates in the Phoenix office of Perkins Coie. The firm recently announced that the outpost would be getting a raise — between $10,000 and $50,000 depending on performance reviews, billable hours, and seniority.
Before we share the actual numbers, let’s address the elephant in the room — the salary range, even for the best associates billing the most hours, is lower than the going market rate in New York and other major markets. But a raise is a raise is a raise, and Perkins Coie Phoenix associates (as well as attorneys at other Phoenix firms that hope this will force the legal market in the city to move) have to be happy with extra cash.
So, what are Perkins Coie associates making these day? Here’s their handy chart for your reference:
Everyone should remember that we still depend on your tips to stay on top of raises. So when your firm matches, please text us (646-820-8477) or email us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Raises Salaries”). Please include the memo if available. You can take a photo of the memo and send it via text or email if you don’t want to forward the original PDF or Word file.
Don’t assume someone else has already emailed us. We’ll gladly take redundant emails over no information at all.
And if you’d like to sign up for ATL’s Bonus Alerts (which is the alert list we’ll also use for salary announcements), please scroll down and enter your email address in the box below this post. If you previously signed up for the bonus alerts, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll receive an email notification within minutes of each bonus announcement that we publish. Thanks!
