With millennials currently comprising the largest portion of the U.S. workforce, it would be prudent to develop a deeper understanding of their opinions and preferences when it comes to ongoings in the workplace. Specifically, it would be beneficial to know how different, really, their attitudes and perspectives are from those of their older colleagues, particularly as these groups seem to be consistently at odds. About everything. Wouldn’t it be great to learn that maybe, just maybe, the younger generation and the older generations are not so different after all? Or what the exact differences are, should they exist?
As the final installment in this year’s series of surveys, conducted in collaboration with our friends at Major Lindsey & Africa, we want ask those of you working at law firms your thoughts on some potential truisms of law firm life. While we could likely assume a generational gap in opinions regarding everything from whether “a window is not a luxury” to whether “increased associate workloads are justified by the recent salary increases” to the impact of the #MeToo movement on company culture, we’ll never really know without asking. Perhaps generations really do differ on their perceptions of reality. Or maybe they’re more similar than we’ve always thought? Please take two minutes and help us find out. Thanks!
