Best Law School In The Country Finally Adds More Gender-Neutral Restrooms

I think it’s a really positive step. Obviously gender equity is multifaceted, and this is one piece among many, but I think it sends a really strong message that YLS recognizes that gender is not always a binary.

Hannah Hussey, a second-year student at Yale Law School who currently serves as co-president of OutLaws, an organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer members of the law school community, commenting on the elite law school’s introduction of two new multi-stall, gender-neutral restrooms, bringing the grand total of gender-neutral stalls to 20. Students at the school had lobbied for more gender-neutral restrooms at the law school for three years before they appeared on campus.
